There are never too many cooks in our kitchen! On April 4th, Victim Services of Peel hosted the culinary social event of the year – our 7th Annual Chef Challenge at the elegant Versailles Convention Centre!
Guests were tantalized by the amazing sampling of the delectable creations of renowned local restaurants and chefs - a veritable feast that carried on throughout the evening. Violinist extraordinaire Grenville Pinto and the amazing magician Ray Chance delighted our guests. This event is described as simply "The best roving cocktail and food party ever attended!
This year's judges, Chef Rob Rainford, Emily Richards and Sonia Sache, were tasked with making a very tough decision on who should be awarded the winning chef status for the night as everything presented was delicious. We extend our congratulations to the following winners:
- Bevan Terry of Rogues Restaurant
- Giacomo Romano of Nine 18 Restaurant at Turnberry Golf Club
- Drew Huerter of Brampton Fire & Emergency Services
The evening included a live auction, silent auction and a Chef Teddy raffle for several prizes including a diamond ring that was won by Ashlee Gerring.
